Grants & Bursaries



Deadline to apply: October 16, 2023 at 4PM. 

Applications must be submitted by the deadline.

Successful grant applicants will be contacted 

by the WBCF Board.

Grant Eligibility

Funding is intended to benefit West Boundary community members, community groups, schools, and non-profit societies located in, or serving area residents and the public in the West Boundary. Consideration will be given to groups involved with youth, seniors, education, minor sports, public recreation, or to local groups hosting an event that is open to the public. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • uniforms and equipment for local sports clubs or school extracurricular activities;

  • Community events, parades, sporting and musical events

  • Community Christmas dinners and/or food hampers

  • Student conferences, grad events, or educational field trips within BC

  • classroom equipment, technology, musical instruments, microscopes, sound and lighting

  • student publications: newsletters, yearbooks, resources

INELIGIBILITY: Funding will not be considered for maintenance of a society (start-up cost, fees, administration costs, staffing salaries, etc.), or for political or religious activities.


Bursary Eligibility

West Boundary Community Forest awards up to two bursaries in the amount of $2,500 each to West Boundary graduating students who plan to study in a post-secondary trades program or academic program at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution in the 2023-2024 school year.


INTAKE PERIOD for 2022/23: April 15 - May 31, 2023, by 4PM. INTAKE IS NOW CLOSED.


Apply by formal letter outlining your qualifications and submit by the deadline via email. If mailing, allow enough time for receipt to WBCF by 4PM May 31st.
